Sufficiency

08/29/2021

We have been always planning to have sufficiency in our life but never we get complete sufficiency. However if we lead our life by God's sufficiency, we will have peace and comfort. Godly living is integrally related to God's sufficiency.

By His proper sufficiency we mean that He is self-existent, self-sufficient, independently happy.

There is a very wonderful promise for us in Psalm 46- 1; "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." We can be confident that God will be our refuge in troublesome times. Israel was always in trouble with her neighbors, but while other nations boasted of their impregnable walled cities perched high on inaccessible cliffs secured with iron gates and protected by fierce warriors, Israel was in a safer position than all of them. God was her refuge and her strength.

Therefore, the people of Israel could live in a confident manner, regardless of the situation around them, because they know God is in their midst.

Psalm 34 says "O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him." In times of trouble you can count on God. When things are changing and threatening around you, focus your attention on God. He is with you; you have His presence, since you have His Spirit within. He is your refuge, since you have His protection. And, He helps you by His power.

Are you depressed by troubles? Don't be, because God is our strength, and with Him we can bear our burdens, because He will put strength into us. Are you suffering? He can help you. He will give you what you need, because He is present with you. He is a helper that has been tried and proven reliable. And you don't have to look for Him, since He is always near. He is sufficient to handle any problem;

In fact, we cannot find better help. So, we don't have to be afraid of the power of hell or earth. "If God be for us, who can be against us; who can do us any harm?'' Therefore, let's keep close to God, and we will have no reason to fear. We fail to trust God in times of trouble, because we know nothing about His sufficiency.

Our God is sufficient in any circumstances. He never fails at anything. Most people think they are the only ones who ever had trouble, but God's people find God is sufficient in times of trouble. God is our refuge, and our strength, and a very present help when we are in trouble.

- God is always with us.

Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Father, you have asked us to be conquerors, bold and warriors in this world when we face our giants. Thank you for continually encouraging us that Your Presence is more than enough when we face fearful times and discouragement.

- Our Lord shall meet our needs.

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Lord, I know that you are prayer answering Redeemer. Please fulfill the utmost need of my reader friend in all their circumstances of necessity right now according to your abundant fullness.

- His grace is enough for us.

2 Corinthians 12:9 My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

As we are continually reminded of our haunting past and painful present, thank you Lord for thy strengthening grace. Even though the thorn in our life may remain I know your comforting grace is all we need

- Christ is enough to carry us:

1 Peter 5: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for He careth for you

Cast means to throw the net into the deepest sea like the fishermen.

Lord Jesus help us to cast our anxieties onto You right now. Family dramas, health issues, and many other days keep us agitated and worried all the time. Remind us once again that you deeply care for us and will carry our burdens for us.
