Noodles

Noodles come in different shapes and sizes. They can be made out of various grains and flours. Even the way noodles are cooked are diverse. No wonder, noodles are found in cuisines all around the world. Although the term "noodles" is often associated with East Asian cooking, it is a truly global food.

Around East Asia, the primary ingredient of the noodle can vary from the common - rice, egg, or wheat, to the more unique - mung bean or seaweed. Noodles are usually boiled before being baked or fried. But it can also be served in soup or served cold in the summer. Soup noodles are a great way to keep warm in the winter. It's healthy and filling, without piling on the pounds.

Noodles are an extremely flexible food that can carry the whole dish on its own, act as base for other flavors, or just be the sideshow. This versatility is why noodles have a place in all our hearts. We've all grown up eating noodles as kids, and now our kids do too.

Noodles are easy to prepare, tasty to eat, and fill me up when I'm hungry. I prefer to cook the noodles by adding some spices to give the dish more taste and flavor. Along with the protein, I add some vegetables as well, to make it a nutritious meal for my family.

Instant noodles don't contain any nutrients or minerals and are unhealthy for the body. As a result, I tend to cook them sparingly, and only ever, as an evening snack. But I try to make it healthier by adding some veg, egg, and protein to the dish.
