Fried Rice

Fried rice is a dish that's incredibly easy to make. It's universally popular, and probably one of the most ordered plates in restaurants. Whenever I'm running short on time to make lunch or dinner, I cook fried rice. 

It requires very little prep and I can use whatever I have in my kitchen. Generally, I tend to prepare a healthy egg fried rice, with peas, capsicum and scallions. And I add poultry, if I happen to have some in the fridge. I don't like to use MSG, so I prefer a dark soy sauce for its flavor.

It can be tweaked a million different ways, to use up what's left in the fridge, or appease a picky eater. It can be made healthier, fattier, meatier, or entirely vegetarian. So, for those who want to cook more, this is a great place to get started.
